FF6 First impressions

Those of you who follow my gaming stuff should probably know that I consider Chrono Trigger to be my all time favorite classic RPG. I decided I'd start playing Final fantasy 6 and so far from the first 10 minutes or so of gameplay I can say without a doubt that this could very well turn out to be one of my favorite Final fantasy games. It is very similar to Chrono Trigger, and I actually recognize some of the music and backgrounds from the Chrono Trigger game, especially the snow effects.  After playing this game for a few minutes I realized that Chrono Trigger is modeled after it, even borrowing music and animations from it. This game could very well turn out to be better than Chrono Trigger depending on how it plays out from here on. I still prefer some of the battle dynamics of chrono trigger, such as actually battling on the same screen as the overworld rather than going to a battle screen, plus specialty moves that hit enemies in lines or within a radius of certain characters, as well as enemies that actually move around the battle field, though your own characters remain stationary. Also Chrono Trigger has the dual and triple techniques where two or three characters are required to execute stronger moves. Still I haven't had so much fun playing a classic Final Fantasy game ever so I will definitely be doing an LP of this game later on, and will probably be doing it blind as well.
