Don't expect much shit this week

I'll be gone to Toronto Thursday and won't be back till late Friday so don't expect any videos or anything else on those days. I will try to upload a few parts of that secret project I recorded last Tuesday before going (probably up to part 3 or 4), but don't expect all 6 of the first parts to go up right away. I have yet to watch last weekends One Piece of check for episode 3 of Blood C, and I completely forgot about the Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer review I kinda promised last week so I'll get around to all of those eventually.

I have been playing some FF14 despite the graphical problems caused by my PC not being powerful enough to properly load the graphics. I checked all my specs and they do meet the minimum requirements and even surpass the ones for video cards so I'm assuming the problem lies in the updates the game has gotten in the 8 months or so it's been out. I can see how the online versions can be addicting but there's a few things about the game that kind of bug me. The main things being the lack of variety between the menial task of synthesizing items regardless of whether you're an alchemist or blacksmith. The mining, woodcutting, and fishing systems are also somewhat similar but they do have enough of a difference between each that it's bearable. They are however hard to figure out without looking it up beforehand. This is still nothing though compared to trying to find synthesis recipes on your own which is next to impossible without looking it up beforehand. Though in all honesty most of the synthesis stuff you can do in the first 10 levels is hard to do because a good amount of the things you can do for most classes requires you to have knowledge of things like glovemaking or milling training and stuff like that. This is where the game starts to suck because these things are spread out throughout the guilds in the 3 starting cities, so if you want to synthesize a lot of alchemy stuff you had better hope you started in the town with the alchemist guild or you're screwed until you're powerful enough to walk to the necessary city. Despite these flaws though it keeps you playing because the game does a really good job of making you want to be able to do all of these things. In a sense it's like Runescape, only with better graphics and overall less sucky.

Actually while I have time I think I'm gonna upload part 1 of that Tuesday recording so may as well say what it is now. It's Terraria. Yea I know a lot of people did this already but fuck it I was bored and had a few hours to spare after recording FF4 so  I figured why not. In any case, enjoy the boringness that is part 1 and watch me spend 8 minutes creating a character.
